When I was four I said a cuss word and knew it was wrong, not just mom but God didn't like it either. I don't see direct examples of babies being baptized but do think children can understand the idea of what sin is at a much earlier age than the CoC thinks.

Also, in several documentaries about Lyndon Johnson it is often mentioned one of his friends was Billy Sol Estes , a conman and cheat who was prominent in his Church of Christ.

In "Oh God II" where George Burns plays God and tells kids to love and think about him the church the kids try to spray paint but get caught is a Church of Christ. In the movie they want to paint "think God" on the building but get run off by members. A presumed elderly member go...

Schweitzer took the verse"if you do not believe in me believe in the things that I do" to heart. He was always trying to better the world. He ended up dying in Africa helping a poor hospital and orphanage. I have a lot of respect for that man. He really did try to dona lot of good.

I have been working out in the yard for momma today. BH is a good son and helps his momma with yardwork. But I am filthy and dirty. Now that I am home I an going to go baptize off all this sweat and dirt and be clean. You never know when mnala might appear at my door and know and I don't want to off...

Farrell Till, the author of The Skeptical Review was a Church of Christ preacher. He said preaching and theology classes were not very difficult at all.

I never was a preacher but asked one or two about this. They adamantly believed the textual differences were mostly spelling evariants. If there was any admission of anything more than that it was emphasized it was just one or two passages that doctrinally did not make any difference. I explained to...
