Re: Inspiration and Innerancy origins?
Revelation warns against adding or taking away from that book. There is an epistle that warns about adding to the word too I believe. Jeremiah 8 laments about the lying pen of the scribes turning the law into a lie. History shows there is great variance between biblical manuscripts. My favorite exam...

Re: Alexander Campbell
Hi all. To whoever asked about a biography of Alexander Campbell I remembered the book I had in mind. It is "Alexander Campbell The Leader of the Great Nineteenth Century Reformation" by Thomas Grafton. You can read it for free on archive.org. Archive.org has several other works by Alexand...

Re: Disfellowship stories/issues?
I didn't get disfellowshipped. It's not fair that I didn't get the joy of having to go through that.

Alexander Campbell
Someone here asked about a good biography of him. I remember one written in the 1890s about 25 to 30 years after he died that was pretty good. It's probably accurate because so many who knew him was still alive to contest anything wrong. I'm going to use my knoggin and try to remember the authors na...

Re: Barton Stone on one loaf!
The local one cup church is a one loaf, everyone pinches off a piece in that congregation. There are some who argue the loaf should broke in half " Jesus took the loaf and broke it" while the pinchers think it means he just pulled off a piece. A lot of debate and in depth discussion on thi...

Re: 9/11 and religious conversions/recommittments
I'm sorry to say all 9/11 did was two things 1. I was empathetically and sympathetically sorry that those people died in the attacks. It broke my heart seeing people fall from those buildings like they did. 2. Selfishly, I was angry that there may be another big war and I did not want to get drafted...

Re: The Great Heathen Army
Or as our ancestors would likely say...."heatherns".   Ivy could have defeated them with one rise of her voice "Great Heathen Army!". They would have turned tail and fled, in fact they would have been so scared of ivy they would have ditched their boats as to slo...
