Re: Short Conversation
You are severely misunderstanding the church of Christ by calling us arrogant. lol! The scripture are clear in EPHESIANS 4:5 ONE LORD,ONE FAITH,ONE BAPTISM.so,dear soul when you call the church of Christ arrogant...it is GOD that you are calling arrogant..bc the coc is merely going by scripture and...

Re: woman preacher in a coc
Since the youtube comments have been disabled, the internet blogs have started to appear. Google 'open letter to 4th avenue Church of Christ' and you'll see some. I'm surprised how civil the comments sections are so far, such as http://brotherhoodnews.com/2014/12/04/tenn-woman-preacher/ . Usually th...

Re: woman preacher in a coc
... what the heck is a Minister of Administration? Legalistic churches generally don't grant "titles" to its members - other than elders and deacons ... it's a denominational thing. Larger CoC's have a tendency to pass out all the fancy titles, Minister of Education, minister of Music, Mi...

Re: woman preacher in a coc
Patrick Mead just posted the following on Facebook: I shouldn't say this...but I will. Wineskins posted a video on YouTube about my preaching intern (a female) and I at Fourth Avenue Church of Christ. Most who are reposting it on Facebook are very kind and supportive but the comments on YouTube its...

Re: Has any one read this book?
Any church that used the name "Church of Christ" before the restoration movement wasn't the coc as we know it. The only thing in common was the name As church names go, "Church of Christ" is bound to pop up now and then throughout history given its mention in the Bible (Rom. 16:...

Re: woman preacher in a coc
I'm waiting to see a dis fellowship letter from surrounding congregations (I googled it , didn't find one). That's a bold move by that coc, since the standing rule is to shut the women up. I said this before, I know of an elder at a coc who passed a woman a note (1cor 14:34) about being silent in ch...

Re: Has any one read this book?
That looks like a church of christ website. There is a book called traces of the kingdom listed that claims there were churches of christ in England in the 1100's. I've seen that claim on some websites as well. It's sad they believe that. Any church that used the name "Church of Christ" b...

Re: Has any one read this book?
No, but what an interesting title. Fits the coc like a glove. I can't find it on any online book store except for the link you provided.
