Re: C of C ranking of sins
Faithfyl- Now that you mention it, I don't remember rape being a subject either! Guess I was going from my own "opinion", which by their standard is the wrong one I guess. Welp, cross that one out :( Although if you asked them, they would say "oh, sure, we believe that's a sin and it...

They didn't believe or practice this belief, just like everything else they'd say LOL I'd say it goes like this from worst to...not worst Rape/Murder Homosexuality Adultery Sex in general/drugs and alcohol Theft (unless it's on a federal level) Forsaking the assembly Lies . Re: C of C ranking of sins
I would put homosexuality and sex sins at the top of the list. I would put them after alcohol because for some reason that was considered worse than sexual sins. Even though sexual sins were considered abhorrent in C of C. Drinking was the one sure fire thing that would get someone kicked out of a ...

C of C ranking of sins
Supposedly all sins are equal in the eyes of God but C of C ranks them in order of how bad they are. Number one worst sin is drinking/consuming alcohol, followed by homosexuality as the second worst sin. Third would be premarital sex or adultery and fourth down on the list would be forsaking the ass...

Re: Wishing you'd done things differently
I have a hypnotherapy appointment tomorrow, to try and knock some of this stuff out my head. It's been interfering with my day to day life and I need to let a lot of it go. Hypnotherapy....how interesting!! I hope it helps, faithfyl. I saw the hynotherapist this morning. He put me under hypnosis an...

Wishing you'd done things differently
Do you ever reflect back on your life and wish you had done or said something differently, or handled a situation in a different way? And then perhaps could have gotten a better outcome?

Gun control. Nobody "needs" military assault weapons... unless they are in the military. If someone feels the need to carry a handgun, sure. But weapons of mass destruction, that can wipe out 100 people in five minutes? Not needed.

Re: Church of Christ folks don’t get it
My wife and I left the c of C in 2005. One of the things we discovered, after separating from the c of C is how other believers view c of C folk. The c of C is often viewed as a cult or at least cultish. They are often seen as an overly legalistic sect of Christianity. We have also discovered they ...
