Re: The Church is Under Attack!
Oddly enough, once you get out of a coc and look around, you find that, not only are 'the denominations' not attacking the coc, most of them have never even heard of it. Except in the Southeast US. How did that area get so 'lucky'? Exactly! They flatter themselves with that line because if denomina...

Crazy things that happened at the building
The old board had some stories about people doing some wild and/or crazy things at the church building. If I recall correctly, one poster talked about a time that he and his wife went on a Saturday afternoon to prep the Lord's supper and ended up having sex in one of the rooms! I loved that  Th...

Re: Meeting 5 out of 7 nights each week
What's funny is how differently they act about the building, depending on when it is. I've seen painters who were working in the building bring along a card table and set it up in the auditorium where they chowed down at lunchtime. I had even seen a couple of them pop the top on some Budweisers in t...

Re: Meeting 5 out of 7 nights each week
I wouldn't go to that church even if I was still cherch uv Krist. The irony is, I chose that one because, they were (at least when I was there) a little more relaxed in certain areas. While they did police attendance, there was no Sunday evening service and that helped. It was nice finishing up at ...

Re: Anyone familiar with these lunatics?
Johnny Robertson is a lighter version of Fred Phelps. His show has even been described as "Westboro-like". His sermons bring about a message of hate and he thinks that he and his boys are some sort of prophets. Total nut job. Oh and an ex-convict too. He has done two different stints in pr...

Meeting 5 out of 7 nights each week
So, the congregation that I was a member of during my second stint in the cOC is at it again. I just found out that in addition to the regular services, they now have something happening Sunday afternoon, Tuesday night, of course Wednesday night, Thursday night, and Friday night. The goal is to make...
