Re: Quick Hide the Beer!

But I don't drink much at a time. Never been drunk! I'm sure there are some of your former congregants that would disagree with that statement. I heard that even a sip could be phase 1 of being drunk and how do you know when too little is too much. So DONT DRINK!!!!!! Oh yeah, I do remember h...

Re: Quick Hide the Beer!

I started drinking alcohol just a few years ago. I generally don't like beer, but I do like Redd's Wicked Apple and Henry's Hard Soda. Champagne is okay. I also like zinfadel, pinot grigio, and chardonnay. But I don't drink much at a time. Never been drunk!

Re: Starbucks fiasco

I had not heard about this incident until just now. YIKES!! It is sad to think that, in this day and age, people still judge others based on race and ethnicity.

Re: ACC Prohibits Students from working at Hooters!

I used to be a regular at the Hooters near me -- I would go at least once a week! Quite often, that would be my lunch destination right after attending the second service at Crieve Hall Church of Christ. I would also go after picking my new comic books up at the Great Escape on Wednesday afternoon. ...

Re: The walk of shame

The thing with the view on 'men must see nude women' it comes from the double standard they can't control their urges It is believed they had stronger sex drives than women, like women could not have these urges and men never dress to attract women. Some attraction is necessary for survival of the ...

Re: The walk of shame

When I was in Junior High, way back in the early and mid 1970s, I had a couple of acquaintances (a boy and a girl, unrelated) who would "go forward" every few weeks, with copious waterworks on display. Later on, they would talk about the horrendous acts that led them to the dreaded "...

Re: The walk of shame

"I had lustful thoughts while looking at a classmate". --- Really, a true "walk on the mild side"! After a better part of a year, they were each past this phase. Thankfully...... I'm pretty sure that's called "puberty". Yeah, you're quite correct! :D

Re: Evolution and Creationism

I accepted evolution pretty early in my childhood. There was always a nagging doubt in my mind about the bible -- if it actually was divinely-inspired, why would this supposedly-omniscient being provide us with the inaccurate "six days of creation" just-so story that would be easily debunk...

Re: Blessed Are The Peacemakers

However, I never understood why parents do not fear retribution from their children to a certain extent. By this I mean they know their kids will grow up and have to take care of them one day. And sometimes when kids get older and get financially sond on their own can just dump their parents and ha...
