Re: How the CoC made it to Texas!
I heard here that Tennessee is basically the CofC Vatican. LOL!!
My people lived in Tennessee, then moved to Texas. I'm sure they brought the cofc with them when they moved out here.

Re: What kind of movies do You prefer?
I watch re-runs of Gunsmoke ;) . Plus I like sci-fi movies and gangster movies too . Yes!! Loved Gunsmoke. And yes to gangster movies!! Even if I have to cover my eyes and / or leave the room at times. Mobster group and family dynamics are fascinating. I also love very weird, quirky movies and seri...

Re: What kind of movies do You prefer?
My favorite genres would include drama, mystery, and science fiction. I love historical fiction. Re: non-institutionalism and the baptistry
Well, if you want to really get technical, think about how dirty those rivers they used to baptize in the bible would have been.

Re: Instrumental music in Church Weddings
I would think a coffee pot could be defended thought. The preacher may be sleepy without coffee and it infringe on his ability to exegete the Bible and produce the quality and in depth analysis CoC preachers are known for. However, if the coffee pot was paid for out of the church treasury he couldn...

Re: non-institutionalism and the baptistry
That's a new twist on someone's toe or elbow not quite being submerged.
Then someone tells them and they obsess about it and get re-baptized.
Those are the seeds of OCD.
