Do physical good looks correlate with intelligence

This friend of mine and I were in a discussion, and he said that more intelligent people tend to be more physically attractive, overall. He said he thinks it is because more intelligent people are more aware of how they are perceived by others and what kinds of advantages they can have when they improve their looks.

I don't know but i thought I would just throw it out there for discussion to see what anyone else thinks about his theory.

Well, I don’t really think there is a connection. A lot of really smart people are not good looking. But, intelligent people would not be unclean or repulsive.

There are good looking people who are intelligent. The smartest women I have known were not all attractive physically but they do have opinions and can answer why. I actually prefer intelligence. The most boring date I ever had was with a good looking women who had no opinion.

No, I don't think so. But genetically and evolutionarily, it's probably complicated. How's that for a non-answer?

I will suggest that in some ways "good looks" can correlate with success in life. It is known. :P

Some jobs gravitate that way. As an Electronic Engineer I was met by very good looking sales reps. I figured out the scam and smiled to myself. Sometimes they were technically savy and sometimes not. The savy ones can connect to people that know. These are application engineers. The sales reps have them on speed dial to solve problems. Does a drowning man care what a woman looks like. I had a boss that told me. "Don't get your meat where you get your bread." Good advice!

Do physical good looks correlate with intelligence?
I don't know. I guess we'll have to ask some of the good looking exers here.

BH? Did your looks make you more intelligent?   (Y'all I don't know what BH looks like. I'm just speculating).

Well, my momma tells me I am handsome and I am sure my mother is completely objective. It is true I am intelligent, smarter than even Einstein or that paragon of genius Donald Trump.

Anyone with common sense is smarter than Trump. Being handsome is nice but as you get older you turn into a caricature of your former self. I would rather have a brain that works right than looks. I would rather have a heart for others than all the money in the world.
