Welcome! I am also a Longhorn, if your handle is referring to our college. I was in the non-institutional COC in Austin, left the COC many years ago, left Austin about ten years ago.
Having grown up with the simple services of the COC, I now enjoy liturgical worship. Pretty much the opposite from your experience!
