It's not unusual. As the CoC wholesale condemns other Churches, they catch obtuse situations where God has Christians in the background. That is why prayers in the CoC are not answered very often. Condemnation is between Jesus and God. Taking the job of the Lord is not met with any appreciation. It's a good way to be condemned. Salvation is individual and not church specific. You either get it or you don't. Only about 5% in the CoC get it.

As to the topic. Christianity has changed over the years. The Bible was not complete in its current form for 300 years after Jesus. There are many different expressions of the Bible. The book of Enoch is included it some versions. It is quoted in Jude. So many early Christians were familiar with it. You can read it online. There were divisions in belief among early Christians just as there are today. The CoC will change or die. The web is an excellent library. I have found excellent preaching on youtube. On TV you will commonly find those that have turned Christianity into a money making business. I avoid such. Too often lies follow.
