Did you hear all the congregation of Church of Christ got together and decided they were full of crap? Then they all voted to become Catholic but the pope said no way he was letting those crazies in his church. Dejected but not defeated the Church of Christ voted again in their general conference and this time declared themselves Orthodox. The Orthodox patriarch said he'd take them but there would be no icons of Alexander Campbell, Batsell Barrett Baxter or Foy Wallace. The Church of Christ then poo pooed being Orthox and rescinded their proclamation. No Christian denomination wanted them. They tried to join each one and was rejected. Not even the Baptists whose churches looked like Church of Christ churches would take them in, just did not have enough faith only to be Baptist. Even the Methodists who the Church of Christ believed stood for nothing put its foot down and said no.
Finally, in desperation they wanted to all become Jews. Unfortunately the Chief Rabbi in Israel said he never heard of them and didnt know anything about them. He said it was better for the time being they be Noahides. But the Church of Christ then said being Jewish was not good after all if they could go to be full blown Jews. And there was that Jesus thing you know.
Then they voted again and decided to be Muslims. Muslims dont normally worship with instruments which made the Church of Christ people happy. And since the Muslims worshipped on Friday there would be no Sunday School which made the nonclass brethren happy in the general conference. But the devil had to fart in their face again. The Muslims sat on the floor to pray and not in padded pews and the old biddies and bidders did not like that one bit.
So in the end they voted one more time to just go back to believing they were the one true church and persist in their delusions. No one else wanted them and they wouldnt be happy any other way so that ends our story.
