FBI,CIA, and the cherch

Hi.

I've always wondered about something. My major in University was history and political science. One thing I learned is the FBI and CIA would keep tabs on and spy on prominent preachers in various denominations . Sometimes they would even recruit these ministers to do work for them. For example the government paid the man who started Harding University to produce a series of films against communism.

I'm curious if any of the CoC preachers were ever prominent enough to where the FBI or CIA ever felt they had to spy on them for some reason
